Choreographer Insulted Isha Koppikar on Set
Actress Isha Koppikar has made a name for herself in the South Indian film industry besides Hindi films. She started her acting career with South Indian films, where she faced challenges due to her lack of dancing skills. Recently, in an interview, she recalled her days in South Indian films and shared several revelations.
In a song from the film “Wo Wife of V. Vara Prasad,” Isha Koppikar was seen. Recalling this incident, the actress mentioned, “This only happens in the South and it was just the beginning for me. I had done two films before entering Bollywood. When I was on set, there was a lot of dancing. You know South Indian dances are not easy. That choreographer said in front of everyone, ‘These girls come from Bollywood. They don’t know anything. I don’t know why they are hired. If you can’t dance, why did you come here?’”
Actress Breaks Down in Van
Isha Koppikar further expressed, “I felt very bad hearing all this. I felt insulted. I went to my makeup van and cried a lot. After that, I took it as a challenge. I said next time when I come to the South, I will dance very well. I won’t let anyone talk to me like that. After that, I called Saroj Khan’s assistant Usha Ji. I told her, ‘I want to learn dance. Teach me dances on all of Saroj Ji’s songs.’ She used to come to my house and teach me dance every day.”

Regarding her work front, Isha Koppikar has been away from Bollywood for the past 3 years, but she appeared in the Tamil film “Ailaan” in 2024. She has also ventured into web series, including titles like “Dahnam” and “Fixer.”
