Gunfire Erupts at North Carolina Waterfront Restaurant, Multiple Injuries Reported
Authorities in North Carolina reported that multiple individuals sustained injuries Saturday night due to gunfire at a waterfront restaurant.
Details of the Incident
According to a report by Star News, the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday when a boat approached the dock of the American Fish Company restaurant. The shooter opened fire into the crowd before fleeing the scene. As of 10:30 p.m., no suspects have been apprehended, as confirmed by City Manager Noah Saldo.
The City of Southport issued an alert notifying the public about an active shooter situation in the Southport Yacht Basin.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with the City of Southport Police Department and other law enforcement agencies in the county. Officials have urged the community to keep the affected individuals and first responders in their thoughts and prayers.

Multiple police vehicles were observed with sirens flashing in a video posted online, capturing the aftermath of the incident.

American Fish Company, known as one of Southport’s popular spots, regularly hosts live music events. On the night of the shooting, the restaurant was featuring a performance by the band “Bacon Grease” from 7 to 10 p.m., as per the establishment’s Instagram page.
