Event Company Scams Indian Army of ₹53.5 Lakhs in Jabalpur
In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, an event company has come under scrutiny for allegedly cheating the Indian Army of ₹53.5 lakhs. The company organized the Surya Half Marathon for the Indian Army, which was conducted by Cinecraft Entertainment Private Limited.
Amount Deposited in Company’s Account Instead of Army’s Account
The Surya Half Marathon took place on November 17. Subedar Major Rohitash Singh of GRC (Grenadiers Regimental Center) has filed a complaint against the company. The registration fees of participants were supposed to be deposited into the Army’s account. However, the company deposited the amount into its own account instead of the Army’s account. Despite repeated demands, the company failed to return the money.
